Who is Sapphire Ribbons

Every great horse journey begins with a spark of passion, correct fundamentals, and deep respect for the animal. For Addyson Runde, founder and head trainer at Sapphire Ribbons in Mason City, Iowa, that passion is a proud family legacy. Her equestrian journey was inspired by her great-grandfather, Kenneth Ranney, an Arabian horse trainer, and her mother, Erin Runde. Growing up under her mother’s extensive expertise and equine knowledge, Addyson developed a strong foundation in horse behavior and connection. To complement this lifelong education, she spent years studying under multiple professional trainers across the industry, gaining a versatile, well-rounded approach to training and showing.

Addyson specializes in a unique partnership-driven coaching style, particularly for local open-show competitors and 4-H youth. Rather than doing the work for you, she empowers you from the ground to master pattern precision and showmanship.
